Premium replacement UPS batteries: original-brand quality without the original-brand price

A UPS is only as good as the battery inside it. When that battery wears out, the unit that should keep your server or network running through a power cut will shut down with it. A replacement from the original manufacturer often costs a large share of the price of a new UPS.
We think that is too much to pay for a box of batteries. So we are launching a new range: premium replacement UPS battery cartridges built to the same specification as the originals, at a much more competitive price.
What "premium" means here

Rest assured - you can use these replacement battery backs from laptopbattery.co.uk with confidence!
Some cheap packs reuse old trays and casings, recycle connectors, or swap in lower-capacity cells. They fit, but they don't last.
Our premium range is different. Every cartridge is built entirely from new parts:
- New cells. High-quality sealed lead-acid (VRLA) cells, matched in voltage and capacity to the original specification.
- New cases and cartridges. No refurbished trays and no reused housings.
- New wiring, links and connectors. These are fitted to match the original layout, so the cartridge fits and connects as it should.
- Ready to fit. Each cartridge is assembled and checked before dispatch, so it goes straight into your UPS.
The result is a battery that fits and performs like the one it replaces, without the original-brand price.
Which UPS models do we cover?

To find yours, look for the RBC number on the label of your existing battery cartridge, or in your UPS manual. Then search for that number on our site. If you can't find it, call or email us with your UPS model and we will tell you which cartridge you need.

How do you know it's time to replace your UPS battery?
Sealed lead-acid UPS batteries typically last 3–5 years. In a warm room or after frequent power cuts, they wear out sooner. Common signs include:
- The UPS shows a "replace battery" warning or fails its self-test.
- Runtime during a power cut is much shorter than it used to be.
- The UPS switches off at once when mains power drops.
If your UPS is more than three years old and has never had a new battery, it is worth checking now. Don't wait for a power cut to tell you.
Why replace the battery, not the UPS?
The electronics in a good UPS usually outlast several batteries. Replacing only the battery costs a fraction of a new unit. You keep your existing setup and settings, and a working UPS stays out of landfill.
On many APC models you can swap the cartridge in a few minutes. Some models even let you swap it while the UPS stays running. Check your UPS manual before you start.
